Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!
My name is Hayley Pace and I'm honored to be a part of the Academic Support team. I have been teaching for 15 years and began my teaching career right here at Academy Endeavour. My husband, Mat Pace, teaches P.E. here at AEES, and we have two wonderful kids, Ella (11) and Coen (7). Our family loves to be outside and we're always looking for our next adventure with our yellow lab, Ziggy. This summer we visited three national parks: Glacier, Yellowstone, and Grand Tetons. We can't wait to go back to all of them! I enjoy hiking with my family, riding my mountain bike with friends, baking with my children, and reading when I can find the time!
I graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, and received my Masters in Arts of Teaching from Colorado College. I am a Certified Academic Language Practioner (CALP) which allows me to provide services to students who have difficulty obtaining the basic language skills necessary to read, write and spell. I am currently participating in my second year of the Literacy Intervention Specialist Certification Program (LISCP) offered by the Colorado Literacy and Learning Center to continue my training as an academic language practioner, and to eventually earn my certification as an academic language therapist which requires a minimum of 700 hours of working with students. During this program, I have completed several hours of training in both the science of literacy and linguistics, as well as reading intervention. I look forward to continue working with students this year!
