5th Grade Service Day

Our 5th graders raked old brush and leaves out of the garden, swept rocks back where they belong near the playground, and planted over 60 new bearded iris rhizomes that we hope will bloom later in the season.  They worked together to trim back perennial grasses and dig out MASSIVE weeds.  They trimmed plants, pruned shrubs, and pulled weeds.  They cleared out space for new plantings.  In all, they cleaned out over 30 giant trash bags full of garden debris, tumbleweeds and trash from around our school.They worked incredibly hard and had a wonderful time giving back to our school as they prepare to go on to middle school.  Thank you, 5th Grade Astronauts for making our school shine!
