Students work with a partner and their team to create, problem solve, and explore many different hands-on projects.

Third-Fifth graders started with coding using Scratch (blockly) and Code Combat (javascript). Our Stem lab has 16 touch screen computers with pop-up cameras which made their Comic Life projects come to life! In their next rotation they learned to use Tinkercad to design a 3D object which some students have already started printing to the 3D printer. We will continue this during the year so all students get at least one print.

K-2nd graders started building 2D & 3D shapes with Geo Shapes and Goobi magnetic manipulatives. They learned how to capture their work with Seesaw’s camera with their iPads.

1st and 2nd just started to learn Pixie software to create animal habitats with their partner. I was highly impressed with the amount of focus they had to transition from their iPads to now full use of computer/keyboard/mouse. Our 2nd graders also started coding using Code Spark Academy which is higher level thinking and sequencing.
