Referrals to outside support services
The counselor collaborates with students, families, teachers and administrators and serves as an advocate for each student.
Confidentiality
Counselors respect student privacy. Information that may pose a risk to a student’s health, safety or welfare—or that of others—is shared with parents even if the student objects. Contact the counselor with questions about confidentiality or services.
Declining Counseling Services
Parents may decline school counseling services by submitting a signed letter or completing the form available in the office. If a student moves to another school, the parent is responsible for updating that preference with the new school.
